Team Liquid are on their way to Abu Dhabi for the BLAST Premier World Final, taking place from December 14-18.

Of the eight teams heading to the World Final, Team Liquid is one of the lowest-ranked on the BLAST Premier Leaderboard - at 7th place, ahead of only Outsiders in 11th place.
The team has had something of a challenging year, without any tournament wins to brag about - and is facing some steep competition if they hope to be crowned champions at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi this month.
While not as disappointing as FaZe Clan's performance, Team Liquid hardly crowned themselves in glory at the Intel Extreme Masters Rio Major back in November, after their 2-1 defeat to Team Spirit left them in 9th-11th place.
That's just one of quite a few low-ranked performances at Majors this year, coming in 5th-6th at the Intel Extreme Masters XVII in Cologne, 7th-8th at the Intel Extreme Masters XVII in Dallas as well as ranking in 15th-16th place at the PGL Major in Antwerp back in May.
That doesn't mean they're one to be written off, however. Team Liquid made it all the way to the grand final at ESL Pro League Season 16, where they were defeated by Team Vitality in a close-fought match, with a final score of 2-3 to Team Vitality.
They showed a strong performance recently at the BLAST Premier Fall Finals too, securing a spot in the semifinals through back-to-back victories against both G2 and NAVI - showcasing their ability to pull off surprise wins against higher-ranked teams. While they were ultimately sent home by Heroic in a 1-2 loss, it's a promising sign for the team's performance heading into the World Final.
The squad earned their spot at this year's World Final via its placement on the BLAST Premier Leaderboard - one of three teams to do so, alongside OG and G2.
Team Liquid will be heading into the BLAST Premier World Final with a lineup consisting of Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski, Keith "NAF" Markovic, Joshua "oSee" Ohm, Nicholas "nitr0" Cannella, Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis alongside coach Damian "daps" Steele.
The team will be making their debut at this year's BLAST Premier World Final at 10am GST on December 14, when they'll be facing off against current Major champions Outsiders. The match should be an interesting one, with Team Liquid's YEKINDAR playing against his former teammates, having spent two years with Outsiders under the Virtus.pro name.
We'll keep you up to date on that match, as well as every game in this year's World Final, which is bound to be a spectacular performance for CS:GO fans everywhere.
