The first day of the BLAST Premier World Final is finally upon us, with Natus Vincere (NAVI) and Team Vitality set to close out the first day of the five-day tournament.
The BLAST Premier World Final will run from December 14 to 18, taking place at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. The tournament will see eight teams from across the world competing for their share of the $1,000,000 prize pool, and the honour of being crowned the champion of the last CS:GO event of the year.
The excitement is kicking off with the group stage, with the eight teams having been separated into Groups A and B - with Group A having the honour of beginning the tournament, while Group B will close us out for the day.
The last match of the day will see NAVI facing off against Team Vitality, due to take place at 15:00 GMT today.

NAVI are attending their third BLAST World Final - with the unique bragging right of having won every single World Final in the event's history. The Ukrainian superstars were crowned the champions of not only the 2021 BLAST World Final, but also won the BLAST Premier Global Final 2020. While the team had a disappointing showing at the Fall Finals in November, they earned their ticket to Abu Dhabi through their spectacular victory at the BLAST Premier: Spring Finals back in June.
Team Vitality meanwhile have had a solid year - earning their place at the World Final following their victory ESL Pro League Season 16. That was certainly their highlight the year so far, though they also performed well at the BLAST Premier Spring Finals, making it all the way to the grand finals before being defeated by none other than NAVI.
The odds favour NAVI to win here, at 1.65 vs Team Vitality's 2.10. Given NAVI's track record at BLAST World Finals they're absolutely one to watch this week - but Team Vitality are a strong team in their own right - and bound to be keen to repay NAVI for their defeat at the Spring Finals.
