BLAST Premier World Final 2022: FaZe Clan vs G2 Esports predictions
This might be a tournament dominated by underdog victories - but FaZe Clan at least has consistently reminded us why they're regarded as one of the strongest teams in the world. They secured their spot in today's semi finals through back-to-back victories in the group stage, beating both G2 and Team Liquid in 2-1 wins for each. It's a fantastic return to form following their disappointment back at the IEM Rio Major, and they're a strong contender to make it to the grand final.
They'll need to beat G2 to make it there, however. G2 are obviously still a little bruised following their loss to FaZe Clan in their opening match this week. Still, they quickly turned things around, and eliminated both Outsiders and Team Vitality, in 2-0 and 2-1 wins, respectively. It's a strong showing for the team, after a bit of a mixed year - with no tournament wins to their name. We'll have to see if they can turn the tide against FaZe Clan and make their way to tomorrow's grand final.
Given their strong performance so far, the odds are in FaZe Clan's favour here, at 1.62 against G2's 2.15. Still, this has been a tournament of underdog victories from the start - So I'd not get too comfortable in assuming that we'll be seeing FaZe Clan tomorrow. G2 will be keen to get revenge on FaZe Clan for beating them in their opening match, and their performance has only improved since then.
