The semi finals are here! The BLAST Premier Fall Finals may be almost over, but we have two more days of world-class CS:GO action ahead of us as the tension builds up for tomorrow’s grand final.
The semi finals will wrap up today with this face-off between FaZe Clan and Ninjas in Pyjamas, in a match that’s sure to be a nail-biter from start to finish.
There’s just four teams left of the original eight, with both Natus Vincere (NAVI) and G2 being knocked out of the tournament during yesterday’s quarter finals, following their losses against Ninjas in Pyjamas and Heroic, respectively.
And those four teams will be cut in half by the end of the day, with both FaZe Clan and Ninjas in Pyjamas fighting for their right to head into tomorrow’s grand final. They’re competing for their share of the $425,000 prize pool, as well as BLAST Premier points and the opportunity to qualify for the World Final tournament in December.
FaZe Clan are back on top form after a disappointing showing at the IEM Rio Major earlier this month, but Ninjas in Pyjamas have also been playing brilliantly so far this week. As such, both teams have a real chance of heading into tomorrow’s grand final - and of course, a real chance of being sent home later today.

FaZe has been playing so well that they’ve dominated every game they’ve played so far, earning two 2-0 wins, reminding rivals that they are absolutely not to be underestimated.
But Ninjas in Pyjamas have already faced off and won against seemingly insurmountable odds before. The Swedish team defied expectations in yesterday’s quarterfinals, defeating BLAST legends NAVI in a 2-1 victory and sending the Ukrainian team packing. The team started out this week on the back foot in a 2-1 loss to Heroic, but have since been able to turn things around, securing their spot in the tournament through defeating OG in a 2-0 domination back in the group stage.
The odds are in FaZe Clan’s favour over Ninjas in Pyjamas, at 1.41 vs 2.86, but Ninjas in Pyjamas have already overcome worse odds than that this week - so you’d be wise not to write them off just yet.
