North American teams have always been among the top teams in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Although they are not as good as they used to be lately, they still make a name for themselves.
Today we are going to take a look at the top five North American CS:GO teams of 2022 in our opinion.
5. Strife
Strife was founded in August of 2021. Even though they haven't had spectacular success so far, they are not doing bad. They placed first at Fragadelphia 16: Denver in December 2021. They also finished first in ESEA Season 39: Premier Relegation - North America.
They made it to the semi-finals of ESEA Cash Cup: North America - Winter 2022 #1, #2, #3 as well. In #5, they finished third.
The Fragadelphia 16 title has been their biggest success so far. They finished fourth in ESL Challenger League Season 40: North America and performed average in other tournaments they participated in.

4. Evil Geniuses
Fourth on our list is Evil Geniuses. They are one of the most established esports teams, and have a bit of an interesting story at the moment in CS:GO. On June 2, they signed with Party Astronauts and Carpe Diem rosters. Currently Evil Geniuses has three separate rosters and their names are EG.PA, EG.CD and Evil Geniuses.
They were promoted to PGL Major Antwerp 2022: American RMR with a second place in PGL Major Antwerp 2022: American RMR - North American Open Qualifier #2, but were unable to qualify for the PGL Major Antwerp 2022 due to their poor performance.
They finished fourth in the Intel Extreme Masters XVII - Dallas: North American Qualifier and missed their chance to participate in IEM Dallas 2022 as well.
They finished fourth in ESL Challenger League Season 41: North America. They also took first place in the ESL Challenger at DreamHack Melbourne 2022 North American Qualifier and will therefore be featured in ESL Challenger at DreamHack Melbourne 2022.
It is a matter of curiosity what Evil Geniuses will do in the future, which is currently on its way with three different rosters.
3. Gaimin Gladiators
This year has been the brightest year for Gaimin Gladiators since its inception in 2019. They won the ESEA Cash Cup: North America - Spring 2022 #2 and #3.
Although they participated in Intel Extreme Masters XVII - Dallas: North American Qualifier with their success in Intel Extreme Masters XVII - Dallas: North American Open Qualifier #2, they could not show the performance they wanted here and could not take part in IEM Dallas 2022.
They finished third in ESL Challenger League Season 41: North America, losing to ATK. They placed first in ESL Challenger at DreamHack Melbourne 2022: North American Open Qualifier #1 and qualified for ESL Challenger at DreamHack Melbourne 2022: North American Qualifier, but will not qualify for ESL Challenger at DreamHack Melbourne 2022 as they placed third.
Finally, at the end of July, they placed first in the ESEA Cash Cup: North America - Summer 2022 #3.

2. Complexity Gaming
We have Complexity Gaming on our list before we reach the top. Founded in 2003, Complexity has been involved in Counter-Strike esports since 2004. They have always managed to be one of the above average teams. 2022 wasn't one of their brightest years, but they still participated in many tournaments.
They had made it to the semifinals of ESL Challenger #48 in February. They then advanced to PGL Major Antwerp 2022: American RMR with a first place in PGL Major Antwerp 2022: American RMR - North American Open Qualifier #1. They finished fourth here and qualified for the PGL Major Antwerp 2022. Complexity did not show much presence in PGL Major Antwerp and got eliminated.
They also qualified for IEM Dallas 2022 with a second place in Intel Extreme Masters XVII - Dallas North American Qualifier, but they weren't very good there either. Later, they took part in many tournaments, the most important being IEM Cologne 2022. After May, they could not achieve a significant ranking in any of the tournaments they participated in.

1. Team Liquid
Considering their recent performance, the best North American team so far is Team Liquid. They are one of the leading CS:GO teams not only in North America, but all over the world. 2022 was not the best year for them either, but they still performed decently in the big tournaments they participated.
They didn't have much success at BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2022, so they moved on from the Spring American Showdown but were eliminated in the quarterfinals. At IEM Katowice 2022, they placed 13th-16th.
They finished second in PGL Major Antwerp 2022: American RMR - North American Open Qualifier #1. They were included in PGL Major Antwerp 2022 from contender status, placing fifth in the American RMR of PGL Major Antwerp 2022.
Complexity Gaming entered IEM Dallas 2022 after placing first at Intel Extreme Masters XVII - Dallas: North American Qualifier, but was knocked out against Cloud9 in the lower bracket round 3.
Finally, they made it to the playoffs in IEM Cologne 2022, but left the tournament after losing 1-2 against Movistar Riders in the quarterfinals.
