How to look your best in the Danger Zone

Welcome, one and all, to the Danger Zone. Here, you will find all manner of guns, knives, bombs, utility, and if you’re really lucky even ammo, as you battle with other CSGods to prove yourself supreme. If you manage to do so, triumphing over all the odds, your reward will be, well, another game of Danger Zone, as that is how Battle Royale games work. Like FPS Tetris but with worse music.

Of course, it’s not quite that simple, as there are always rewards on offer in the game, in this case in the form of the Danger Zone collection, and there are some cracking efforts included. As ever, we have our finger on the pulse of modern CSGO, and are here to provide you with a rundown of the five most beautiful skins in the collection, as you’d expect from any serious esports news outlet.

You might not agree with all of the choices but, remember, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all guns are equally beautiful to us in the Luckbox office. Even the P90…

5. M4A4 | Magnesium

m4a4dz
Coming in at number five is the latest skin for the M4A4, the loudest, proudest version of CSGO’s CT staple. With the reduction in price of the AUG and SG 553, the M4s are not as universal as they once were, but the -A4 still has the stopping, and crucially spraying power to get the job done. This new skin is a subtle affair, but stylish too, and should look great whether you’re spraying three down in mid or holding B-site alone. It’s the little black dress of guns.

4. AK-47 Asiimov

akdz
The Asiimov has been around for ages, most famously as a skin for the AWP and the M4, and it’s making a long-awaited appearance on the T-side’s most notorious gun now, the AK-47. The gun itself will never go out of style, and while there are already a lot of great skins for it, this is a new and fresh look for the weapon, which we should see a fair bit of at events in the near future.

3. Desert Eagle Mecha Industries

deagdz
For a while, the Desert Eagle, or deagle as it’s known pretty much everywhere, was a bit underrepresented when it came to skins, with the Oxide Blaze getting more airtime than you’d expect from a skin that looks like flaming faeces. However, last year saw the stylish new Code Red release, and Valve have followed that up with the stunning Mecha Industries offering. It’s the perfect gun to die in mid window on Mirage with, all while you claim that lag is the reason you missed you seventh headshot.

2. USP-S Flashback

uspdz
You might think this skin is not that fancy, and you’d be correct, but if you think it’s not good looking the proverbial door is, well, everywhere. The Flashback has long been the choice of the true connoisseur, and not just because it was the first M4 skin this writer got, and the chance to use it on other guns is amazing. From the silencer with ‘Shhh’ written on it to the peace symbol on the grip, this skin is awesome.

1. AWP Neo-Noir

awpdz
The Neo-Noir has been a popular skin since it was introduced, and putting it on the most exciting gun in the game isn’t going to hurt that. The AWP is always going to command respect, and the skins for it will never go cheap, so don’t expect to find a bargain in the market. If you get a case drop though, you’ve got your hands on a gorgeous offering that should hold value and look great when you’re whiffing shots through mid doors on Dust2.
