Very few matches are left before the end of the 2022 LPL Summer regular season with teams fighting to enter the playoffs in a better spot. JD Gaming, Top Esports, Royal Never Give Up and Victory Five are guaranteed to be in the top four. However, their final standings will be decided by the last matches.

Anyone’s Legend, LNG Esports, Oh My God, Bilibili Gaming, ThunderTalk Gaming and FunPlus Phoenix will share the remaining four spots in the playoffs. They all have tough opponents to go through. Let’s take a look at their playoffs chances, and find out what could happen in the last week of 2022 LPL Summer.
LPL 2022 Summer playoffs race
After taking down Anyone’s Legend in the last game of the ninth week, JD Gaming reached 14-2 and their best regular season result of all time. Kanavi and Yagao created the most feared team in China right now, and they are the number one favourite to win the championship.
However, JDG is closely followed by RNG and TES. If RNG defeats LGD Gaming 2-0 on Sunday, they will finish in first place instead of JD Gaming, due to their game differentials being the same and RNG’s defeat over JDG earlier in the season. Top Esports also has the advantage of superior game differential if they defeat Anyone’s Legend 2-0 on Saturday, kicking JDG out of the top two.
Victory Five’s regular season is over. They will finish in fourth place if RNG and TES win their last games. Rookie and his friends were the clear favourites for the championship at the start of the season, but now, they fell behind JDG, RNG and TES. It will be interesting to see how they try to get back up for the playoffs.
Isn’t there anyone that could challenge these teams for Worlds 2022 spots? EDward Gaming and Weibo Gaming qualified to the playoffs, but they don’t look like they could challenge the top four. EDG and WBG improved their performance during the end of the season, but that probably won’t be enough to get back in the championship race.
The race for the playoffs is on fire, meaning that the playoffs will be even more exciting. You can find live streams to watch the action on Luckbox. Sign up now to claim your 100% bonus before placing your bets.
LPL last week schedule and standings
As mentioned earlier, Anyone’s Legend, LNG Esports, Oh My God, Bilibili Gaming, ThunderTalk Gaming and FunPlus Phoenix still have a chance of making it. Let’s first take a look at the last week’s schedule:
Wednesday, August 10
EDward Gaming 2-0 Anyone’s Legend
Invictus Gaming (2.60) vs Oh My God (1.42) - 13:00 CEST
Thursday, August 11
Team WE (4.50) vs FunPlus Phoenix (1.15) - 11:00 CEST
ThunderTalk Gaming (1.40) vs Ultra Prime (2.70) - 13:00 CEST
Friday, August 12
Invictus Gaming (1.50) vs LGD Gaming (2.40) - 11:00 CEST
Weibo Gaming (1.30) vs LNG Esports (3.20) - 13:00 CEST
Saturday, August 13
ThunderTalk Gaming (1.48) vs Rare Atom (2.40) - 11:00 CEST
Anyone’s Legend (6.30) vs Top Esports (1.08) - 13:00 CEST
Sunday, August 14
Ultra Prime vs Team WE - 11:00 CEST
LGD Gaming vs RNG - 13:00 CEST

Anyone’s Legend has one of the toughest schedules coming up. They are first facing EDG who had an excellent form recently and then RNG who is trying to secure first place. AL’s job is hard, but a 0-2 finish doesn’t mean the end of the world. The results from other games might keep them in the playoffs.
LNG Esports currently sits on 7-8 with one match to go. Doinb and his friends will take on Weibo Gaming. Although LNG should have been a better team and already secured playoffs, they are in a place that they desperately need to get out of. They will work hard to take Weibo down, but they won’t be the favourites for sure.
Bilibili Gaming’s season is over, they are 7-9 and they will desperately hope for ThunderTalk and FPX to lose their last games. TT’s rivals are Ultra Prime and Rare Atom, with 3-11 and 3-12 score respectively, meaning that ThunderTalk is one of the favourites to make the playoffs, hurting the chances of Bin and his friends. FPX should also get to 7-9 defeating WE, but BLG has the head-to-head advantage over them.
Finally, Oh My God is left. They are 7-8, and very close to doing what they couldn’t last season. OMG will face one of the weakest teams in China, Invictus Gaming. Just like ThunderTalk, they should definitely get to the playoffs with such a lucky schedule.
