The second week of the LCK Summer is over and DWG KIA lost both its games against Gen.G and T1. These disappointing results have killed the hype surrounding the arrival of Nuguri and the GEN - T1 duo are considered favourites to win the LCK again. Defeat might have been acceptable, but DWG KIA failed in both series and are now seriously questioned.

DRX continues its incredible form, finishing the first two weeks 4-0 and defeating most of its rivals in the race for the playoffs. At the bottom of the table, Hanwha Life and Fredit BRION are tied at 0-4. Unexpectedly, HLE has shown more fight so far than BRO and might even pick up some wins, while Fredit BRION has yet to win a single game in a series.
2022 LCK Summer Week 2
The second week started with an incredible match: Gen.G vs DWG KIA. Although ShowMaker started with a good Corki performance, it was not enough to stop Ruler's 7-0-1 Zeri and prevent Lehends from stealing Baron with Singed. DWG KIA played the second game perfectly to take the series to the third game, where they completely botched it with bad decisions and handed Gen.G the win with ease.
In the following game, kt Rolster faced Fredit BRION, and both games were incredibly close, 7-5 and 9-7. However, BRO could not overpower their opponent and let KT win 2-0. Nongshim RedForce and Kwangdong Freecs played a good series with many kills and interesting team fights. NS finally won 2-0 and brought themselves back into the race for the playoffs.
T1's first opponent this week was Liiv SANDBOX. T1 demolished their opponents in both games, winning the first in 26 minutes and the second in 24 minutes. DRX took on Hanwha Life the next day and started with a 19-3 in the first game. HLE managed to answer the next one 17-12 in 33 minutes, but DRX won the quiet third game thanks to Kingen's 100% kill participation Gangplank. Fredit BRION had another disappointing series for them against Gen.G. They lost 16-4 and 18-4 while GEN headed back home with an easy victory.
T1 faced DWG KIA in their second match of the week. Both games went quietly, T1 not wanting to risk anything and slowly defeating DWG KIA. By taking control of the objectives and winning some team fights, T1 achieved a quick and easy 2-0 win against one of their strongest opponents in the title race.
Next up, Liiv SANDBOX took on kt Rolster. Although Rascal and Aria put up a strong performance against LSB, KT were outclassed and lost 0-2. Hanwha Life Esports once again took it to three games against NS RedForce and failed to win this third game as well, even though they actually came out on top 9-8 in the end. DRX's opponents to finish the week were Kwangdong Freecs, and DRX secured an easy 2-0 with 21-13 and 14-2 wins.

After finishing the first two weeks 4-0, DRX faces their toughest challenge of the season against T1. If they can pull off a win, they could already be in the playoffs. Kwangdong Freecs are up against the two best teams in the LCK and another 0-2 would put them in a very bad position. It looks impossible, but they will have to fight to take a win away from either T1 or Gen.G. Fredit BRION and Hanwha Life face each other on Thursday to decide which one of them is the worst team in the LCK.
