Korea's LCK kicked off last week with some great matches and continues tomorrow with week two games. With four teams off to 2-0 start, it's already clear which teams have the power in the LCK and will certainly be fighting for spots in the Worlds 2022. Join us for a look at the first week's matches and then the second week's schedule.
Of the four teams that have started 2-0, only T1 has lost a game. DRX, DWG KIA and Gen.G all managed to crush their opponents and secure victories without losing a single game. At the bottom of the table sit Hanwha Life, kt Rolster, Fredit BRION and Nongshim RedForce. Two teams ended the week with a 1-1 record; Liiv SANDBOX and Kwangdong Freecs.
The first week at LCK
LCK 2022 Summer kicked off with Kwangdong Freecs against Hanwha Life Esports. Although HLE stole a game thanks to OnFleek's Viego, KDF managed to win the series. An important matchup for the race for the playoffs followed. DRX defeated NS RedForce in a very close series decided by the brilliant play of Kingen and Zeka. Both games lasted more than 40 minutes and both scores were 17-16 in favour of DRX.
The following day Gen.G played against kt Rolster. LCK 2022 Spring runners-up utterly destroyed KT and gave them no chance of a comeback. DWG KIA also played its first series of the season. Against Fredit BRION, their first game broke a record: the slowest first blood ever. After the FB at 34:30, DWG KIA finished the game at 35:36 with a score of 3-0. The second game was a rollercoaster but BRO threw, allowing DK to secure the 2-0 victory.
After Nuguri's comeback hype, we returned to the regular LCK games. Liiv SANDBOX destroyed KDF with a great performance from Prince. Then T1 played one of the most interesting games against NS. After a very easy first game which they won while Keria played Yasuo, Nongshim RedForce destroyed them in the second game. However, we witnessed some of the most incompetent team fighting at this level of LoL and in the end T1 took advantage of NS's indecisive moves and took the 2-0 victory home.
Gen.G defeated Hanwha Life with ease on Saturday, with Chovy not dying once. DRX's stomp of Fredit BRION followed and the duo of Zeka and Pyosik looked amazing for the second time this week.
On Sunday, kt Rolster surprised T1 by winning the first game, with Keria playing support Camille. T1 responded with a strong second game that took the series to a third game. It was an incredibly close game with kt Rolster actually coming out on top in terms of score in the end, but T1 somehow secured the win and moved on with their 22-0 LCK record. To finish the week, DK outclassed Liiv SANDBOX in two relatively quick games, where Nuguri and deokdam performed amazingly well.

LCK 2022 Summer Week 2
These are the matches that will be played this week:
DWG KIA will face two big challenges this week. First, they play Gen.G on Wednesday, and the outcome of that game could greatly affect their second game against T1. T1 has had a bumpy start to the season, but they lost games in the best-of-three series last season. If DK survives this week with a 2-0 record, it would be a fantastic start for them.
Kwangdong Freecs also face two important opponents in the race for the playoffs. First they face NS RedForce, a strong team that started poorly, and then DRX, a strong team that started with a perfect week. KDF's performance this week could decide their fate.
